The results of the Katadata Insight Center survey, as many as 56.8 percent of MSMEs are in bad condition, while MSMEs are in good condition only 14.1 percent. MSMEs that experienced the negative impact of the pandemic reached 82.9 percent, only 5.9 percent experienced a positive impact. The vulnerability of MSMEs in facing the Covid-19 pandemic is mainly due to the lack of ability of MSME actors to master technology and formulate business strategies. As a result, the utilization of technology by SMEs is very low. This condition is evidence that the quality of human resources for SMEs in Indonesia is still low. There are still many MSMEs that have not maximized the e-commerce platform as a medium to market their products. This is motivated by the low awareness of MSME actors about the importance of technology, and also the low ability of human resources in mastering technology. In fact, MSMEs during a pandemic can survive and grow when they have human resources who master digital technology. The study analyzed human resource problems in MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of the previous literature. In this study, activities for collecting, managing and analyzing data taken from related written literature will be carried out so that the description of human resource problems in MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic is known clearly.
2026-06-30T00:00:00-07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Economic Development Progresshttps://journal.stie-binakarya.ac.id/index.php/edp/article/view/317Optimalisasi Modal Psikologis dalam Pemberdayaan Sumber Daya Manusia untuk Meningkatkan Kinerja berkelanjutan UMKM2026-05-25T02:17:43-07:00Frederick Rudy Sentosa Rajagukgukrudyrajagukguk00241@gmail.comHastuti Handayani Harahapharahaphastutyhandayani@gmail.comIndra Welly Arifinindrawellyarifin66@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the effect of Psychological Capital on Sustainable Performance of MSMEs through Human Resource Empowerment as an intervening variable. The research employed a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method through SmartPLS software. The data used were panel data from several provinces in Indonesia during the 2019–2024 period. The research variables consisted of green economy as the first independent variable, circular economy as the second independent variable, unemployment rate as the intervening variable, and poverty alleviation as the dependent variable. Data analysis techniques were carried out through outer model testing, inner model testing, and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping. The results showed that the green economy had a positive and significant effect on poverty alleviation and unemployment rate. Circular economy had a significant effect on unemployment rate but did not have a significant direct effect on poverty alleviation. Unemployment rate had a significant effect on poverty alleviation. In addition, unemployment rate was able to significantly mediate the effect of green economy and circular economy on poverty alleviation. The findings indicate that the implementation of green economy and circular economy plays an important role in sustainable economic development through job creation and improvement of community welfare.
2026-06-30T00:00:00-07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Economic Development Progresshttps://journal.stie-binakarya.ac.id/index.php/edp/article/view/316Dinamika Sosiolinguistik dalam Konsumsi Modern: Eksplorasi Kualitatif terhadap Bahasa Inggris sebagai Prestigious Code pada Citra Merek Lokal di Kota Tebing Tinggi2026-05-25T02:15:50-07:00Nada Nabilahnadanabila211@gmail.comFitrianingsih Fitrianingsihfitrianingsihbk3@gmail.com
This study investigates the convergence between sociolinguistics and consumer behavior in the emerging market ecosystem of Tebing Tinggi City. Focusing on the use of English as a prestigious code, the study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach to understand how foreign languages are constructed as symbolic instruments to enhance local brand value. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 urban informants in Tebing Tinggi and participant observation at various modern culinary and retail outlets. Findings indicate that the use of English diction triggers perceptions of "modernity" and "premium quality" that go beyond consumers' literal semantic understanding. The brand image formed through this linguistic stimulus proves to be a key driver of purchase intention, with English serving as cultural capital for local consumers.
2026-06-30T00:00:00-07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Economic Development Progresshttps://journal.stie-binakarya.ac.id/index.php/edp/article/view/314Pengaruh Pelatihan Dan Sistem Manajemen (K3) Terhadap Produktivitas Kerja Anggota Pada Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Kota Tebing Tinggi2026-05-25T02:08:28-07:00Yenni Mariani Sinuratyms231217@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the influence of training and the occupational safety and health management system (K3) on the work productivity of members of the Fire and Rescue Department of Tebing Tinggi City.
